So glad that the Starbucks near my new apt is staffed with fast competent employees. How do I know this? A long line and immediately another register was opened. I made six separate transactions of six orders, and all orders were correct and entered into the system and paid for seamlessly. Did I mention I also put 20$ on my gold card that day? Go here for a competent staff of baristas. Just to note I went on a Monday morning.

Since recent renovation, this cafe has become less inviting, welcoming place. There is less sitting space and more standing room. This change may be good for business: to get more people in and out. But some customers would choose to stop elsewhere to get their cup of coffee. The new layout is such that as you enter, you find yourself in a crowed waiting for their already placed orders to be filled. You have to wade threw it to get to the end of the line. The newspapers are now placed at the end oh the long standing-only table, just before you go to the counter to order. They used to be easier accessible, and one copy of each paper was always picked apart and read by folks while waiting. That was yet another reason to come here. I'd have to find a more welcoming place, that feels less of a drive-thru.

Service is great but what's up with the garbage in front of the store always overflowing? Appearance does matter!

This is where the honey and I sometimes go to pre-game before events. Mmmm coffee slurpee. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and the space was and has been each time we've returned, quite clean and well ordered. Our first visit they gave us both (separate orders) the wrong baked goods and we had to return them (one they had simply mixed up with another) but in all the visits since we've never had the same issue. This locale isn't close to either one of us anymore, but if we're in the area, I'd never turn the friendly service here down!

Sullen service... What happened to the stellar cast of great baristas that this location was famous for??!

Yay for being open late on a weeknight. 11pm is much later than the usual ones. Though crowded with laptop herd due to it. Came with a friend to shoot the shit and have some late caffeine. Strange strip mall but late hours make up for it. Also frequented by local PD. 3.5 stars

Me and my kids were staying at the hotel across the way and we had to get up and drive up to Oakley at 5:30am. I was so glad to know that this Starbucks was just across the way and that they opened pretty early. The workers were very nice and friendly and it was pretty empty when we got there so the transaction went smoothly. There's plenty of parking too.

I was rolling my Work Whip Big Ken when I saw this Starbucks. I stopped in . Its a pretty down low location. In ordered a Mint Chip Frappuccino Venti. The Cashier was nice . My Frappuccino was done in a few minutes. I decided to Chill out . So I grabbed a Chair Outside and relaxed.. Then I rolled out.

So every Starbucks is "good" and "great" but what makes the LOCATION amazing and different is the amazing crew!! I walk in, and they are all smiling and saying their hellos. People like to say that this location is busy... Well YEA!!!! That's why!!!!!! They are friendly. Nice. Efficient. Busy. Sweet. And GGREAT conversation. I don't know all their names but The ones that wear their name tags. Love this location. My drink is as good as any other Starbucks but the people are great!!!!!!!! One complaint I have?! Yes, only one... THEY ARE TOO BUSY TO TALK FOR MORE THAN A MIN. HEHEHE. All good. Thanks yall!!!!

  • Stuart R.

Staff do not go out of their way, do not smile, are not friendly, and appear very unhappy to be working here, even on redeeming a free earned gold card drink they failed at first to apply and blamed me. Ultimately refunding the amount to my card. Overall, I do NOT recommend this location. Howard Schultz and the District Managers should be visiting these Silicon Valley locations more regularly.

My wife and I spend a lot of money at Starbucks. Last year, I calculated that I spent over $3,000.00 at various locations. Being a contractor, I was remodeling a home for a family in Santa Clara. One Saturday morning, I went to the Starbucks on Saratoga Avenue. I was in a hurry, and was slightly disappointed that they were really busy. They had two cash registers operating, with a third person bringing coffee and handing it to customers in the middle of the registers. When he brought my coffee, a large (venti) brewed house coffee, he pitched forward, dumping the entire cup of coffee on my legs of my Levis. I later learned a the Kaiser Hospital that I had second degree burns on my left leg. The person who dumped the coffee on me said nothing to me and did not check on my welfare. He left immediately, presumably to go get a mop. Get this: No appology! They gave me another cup of coffee. Get this: They charged me for this cup of coffe! As I was walking out the door, some woman approached me, shoving a free coupon in my hand. "The next one is on us" she exclaimed. I Walked out the door, dazed and injured. As I drove out of the parking lot, I realized that I had no reciept for the transaction, and did a U-turn to return and get a reciept. I also phoned my wife and told her what had happened. She said she would meet me at the restaurant. When I walked back in, I went to the counter and asked for the manager. A woman approached, and said there was no manager there (I later learned she was lying because she was the manager herself). I told her I had been burned and I needed to speak to the person in charge. She said that no one was there and that I had to leave because customers were getting upset. "Or I will call the police", she exclaimed. I told her to please go ahead and call the ploice, and I went outside and sat at one one the tables. When the police arrived, they came outside after talking to the manager. They told me that I had to leave because customers were getting upset. I told them I had been burned, and they told me I would have to leave anyway. Do these same police get free coffee there? After being treated for second degree burns at Kaiser, I attempted to call the regional manager of starbucks. He refused to speak to me and did not return my phone calls. My wife called him and after being rude to her, refused to speak to her about the incident. I called the headquarters of Starbucks and explained what had happened. They said that they would send me a $50.00 Starbucks card. I later learned from an attorney that the card was only given so that if I used it, they could say that they had already paid a settlement to me. I contacted an attorney and after threatening a lawsuit, they settled with me for $6,500.00. I will never go to that Starbucks again.

Since the renovation the flow is much better. More efficient and you get your stuff sooner. People are friendly and they know what they ate doing. All in all you should have a good experience here.

CHRISTINA IS THE BEST!!!!!! Beautiful and friendly. I messed up on my order today and she was so understanding. I come in almost everyday ordering an average of 7-10 drinks. There's a Starbucks right next door to my dealership but I'd rather go here to get all my coffee because they're hella nicer here!!!! And they don't mess up my drinks unless I messed up the order. Props to the team here!!! And thanks for always putting up with my huge orders! Woot! Love from everyone at Momentum Chevrolet!! You are the fuel to our everyday grind! Thank you! Happy Holidays! ^^

This Starbucks is trying to ruin their brand reputation. I've been loyal customer to Starbucks more than 10yrs, and I moved up to the bay 3 yrs ago. I pretty much get 1 drink from Starbucks everyday. I've been stopping by different Starbucks store and this Starbucks really need to be told their service is bad/un-friendly, their staff are always like oh, I'm busy so they always look like annoyed and inpatient. Another bad thing I found fro this Starbucks is that they always serve you grande coffee even if you order Venti !!!!!! This is totally hilarious, then what's the point for ppl who want to have venti size? This cheating/dishonest business should be stopped!!

  • Mia F.

I am a loyal customer to Starbucks however this location has the unfriendliness staff I have seen. I understand college kids working to get through I was there once. But come on check your attitude at the door before going to work. We never got a hello can I take the order it was "you ready?" with a sour/bitch face. New members with better attitudes and not huge tan color gages would be best. Also make yourself look reasonable not like you rolled out of bed.

Quaint location off San Tomas and Saratoga. Lots of parking and quick service from the baristas.

One of the more ghetto Starbucks I've been into. Small location. Uncomfy looking seating area inside and even outside. Bathroom is filthy. You'll catch people eating their Pizza Hut in the outdoor seating area of this Starbucks.

  • Stefany V.

I guess this is one of the few places with free wifi in the area, because it was ridiculously packed at 7pm on a Tuesday evening. I was meeting with a friend and completely unable to find a table or even two seats together to talk. We both ordered drinks and mine did not quite taste right and hers was unfinished, but the service was very quick and polite.

I need a CAFFEINNE boost !! So i stopped by my local starbucks. What happen to the over the top customer service with a smile and enthusiasm ?? Did all the employees go to Jamba Juice ??? ha..ha... But for reals... just okay and love the Cafe Mocha with whipped cream on top, with a toast warm cinnamon roll.

  • Shaina W.

Let me just say I've been going to this Starbucks location for a good 6 years and all I notice is the customer service and quality of drinks going down. And I'm not sure if they are running out of product or what but every time I order a latte or frap it's always half-made and no taste. I really do hope they get their acts together because I'm starting to notice a turn around in their reviews. And its obviously not good

Okay so I went in 15 minutes before closing tonight I always have a good experience here but there was a guy named Derrick that I'd never met before but he was the best barista I've ever had at any coffee place and he was so friendly and nice and just overall A+

What's not to love? Power outlets WiFi Fast Service Abundance of seating. My closest SBUX. love it.

I used to love coming here. Baristas knew me by name and they watched my kids grow. Plus every drink was excellent, the baristas were on point and it was consistent excellence. The higher ups must have noticed because one by one, my baristas were moved to other locations. Now when I go in, I don't recognize anyone. My drinks are meh, when they do get the drink right. My food items, if not asked for warmed, are handed to me in the plastic wrapper they are delivered in. What happened to my Starbucks??

    (2)
  • Eunice C.

The coffee that I had from this location was really bad. It was bitter and not fresh at all. I know some Starbucks locations have awful taste, and this is one of them. I was surprised to find this cafe full of people working with their laptops in the morning. There are many good cafes other than this place!

  • Jonathan G.

I've come here many times but never again. Whoever the short Hispanic girl is working right now (1:30pm on 1/21/15) is the rudest "barista" I've ever come across at Starbucks. I've never had to write a yelp review before so I guess she wins an award. Instead of being helpful and answering my questions in an empty store she was rude and had attitude. Never coming back...

Isn't smoking not allowed at least 20 feet from every Starbucks store? Geezus take the wheel ! Every time I went to this store (like 5 days a week for probably a good 2 months), there were a couple or two smoking their lives away on the outdoor seats of this store. The staff seems very accommodating of this. They welcome you with second-hand smoke, folks! Let's face it, every Starbucks store makes their drinks the same way as the others. The manner of how it is made and served makes the difference. This Starbucks has 50/50 staff when it comes to being nice or just plain "I hate my job, I hate you, I don't like making coffee but this gives me enough money for another hidden piercing" attitude. There is one barista here who I would like to mention - Christina or something ? Blonde and skinny. She is one barista colder than all the frappuccinos combined with XXX ice. Or maybe she was just having a bad hair day that day... This place does get packed every single day, most especially after 5 PM. There's not a lot of space despite ample seating and like I said, outdoor seating is feasible if you prefer enjoying your breve with a serving or two of second-hand smoke. There is a CVS next door, in case you'll need your inhaler.

Started going here often back during my spring quarter at De Anza just because its on the way to school and plus I needed coffee to stay awake in my boring Poli Sci class. Great friendly baristas here and they make your drinks super fast! Clean store inside and out. Internet is fast and there isn't too many people in there all the time (Yay!) Noise level is okay, not quiet but not loud too. 4 stars! :D

Always busy place to get a cup of joe. However its the best one too. Very consistent and they have friendly service staff.

Best Starbucks in Town!!!!!!!! Becca, Sara, Jocely, and the rest of the staff make u feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door! Drinks always made to perfection, but if I get picky the'll make it to my liking :) Great Staff + Great Drinks = Excellent Experience :)

I went today in the am to get me a 3 shot, let me make this short: THEY OBVIOUSLY HATE WORKING THERE. No smiles and the barista was mumbling drinks out and gives you a face if you didn't hear him. It looked like they needed coffee more than us.

    (2)
  • Kathy W.

4 stars for the interaction. 3 stars for the coffee. Quite a large fan base on a mid-morning Sunday. The baristas were nice and what made my day was the free petite dessert. The Red Velvet Whoopie Pie wasn't that good aka I wouldn't PAY for it, but free is free even at the expense of 190 calories. Starbucks isn't my choice of coffee (I prefer Philz) but it'll do when I'm on the run.

    (4)
  • L. K.

Amanda the barista is a total snobby brat! Everytime I come in she looks passed off at the world. I never have a positive experience when I go there when she is on the register. She never says hin shell just ask without eye contact "ehat do you want today?"As a matter of fact me and my coworkers always comment on how rude she is. I can't believe starbucks would allow such a employee to represent its company! She should put on some makeup because she always looks hungover. Not a good look

  • Carrie D.

We come to this Starbucks occasionally. If we want Starbucks, we come here since it's close to our house. It's always crowded, so you can usually not find a seat. But it's good if you want to grab and go.

  • Megan P.

Came to this Starbucks this morning only to get a pastry, and maybe since i only ordered that, it pissed the girl off? One of the guys was really nice, but the girl who made my pastry and who took my order was not friendly at all. Said thank you like three times to her and never got a response out of her! I'm sorry, but manners are everything, even a 'no problem' would suffice! She must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed because I did not like her stupid attitude. If i'm paying more money just to eat at starbucks, you better be treating your customers right! Customer service is EVERYTHING, no matter where you go. Other than that, their drinks and pastries are really good at this location. So, only 3 stars will remain.

    (3)
  • Daniel A.

One of the Starbucks closest to my house. Location it's self isn't too bad. I did not like the customer experience I've received here. If I'm being honest most of my visits have been in the evening which is normally the "B"squad schedule as far as baristas go. 2 Stars 1 Star= For the starbucks tasting like starbucks 1 Star= For good snack case availability

    (2)
  • Sam K.

Good coffee and friendly staff. No complaints at all. They know me by name and pretty much know the 2 drinks I usually order. Location is close to home which makes it ideal.

I've been going to this Starbucks for about 8 or 9 years now and I love it, the workers treat you like you're family. It's really clean, always smells amazing. My favorite Starbucks location by far!

Lots of seating an super friendly people. I went here once some months back super hungover lol and it was a great experience and also this weekend to study for a math class... Nice outdoor and indoor seating.. Super smiley workers.. And yummy drinks :)

Have been going to this Starbucks for years. A main reason is that it's become one of the few shops that has comfortable club chairs. My gripe is that with the latest 'improvements' to the store, all the club chairs were squashed against the window wall and adjacent wall so you're 'up close and personal' with your neighbors. Since this shop is always incredibly busy, often full during the afternoon, I suspect it was the management's way of making it uncomfortable enough for the customers in order to get a faster turnover on its seats. Very sad as the chairs were my reason for visiting, now it's just a source of vexation. Wish the management there will return the club chairs to the original layout! As for the employees, they used to be very cheerful and friendly, but lately some of them look rather dour and unhappy so the customer experience is going downhill fast...

    (3)
  • Frances B.

Probably my favorite Starbucks around this area, but not because of the ambiance, but rather because this cafe is not as busy as other starbucks locations, and most of all because the service and quality of the drinks is always excellent. No matter what time I come here, or which barista makes my drink, it always comes out perfect. I have nothing but high fives to give this starbucks, and will continue to come here even if it's not the closest one from where I live. Great baristas, fresh pastries and excellent drinks. What more can a coffee addict ask for?

    (4)
  • An R.

Great location to come in and out, opens really early and open really late as well... If you go here during the week days either come at 6:30am or don't come until 9:30am as it gets really busy! Weekends are different for obvious reasons...... Also just learned they have breakfast egg white wraps, wasn't too sure how great it would have tasted but it was actually pretty good!

  • John J.

Four star for friendly staff, good atmosphere, a TV on the wall that tells you what song is currently playing in the background. There are lots of places to sit and outlets to plug your laptop into if you're looking for a Starbucks to spend a long period of time.

I don't go to Starbucks because I do not like the way their coffee tastes. However, I stopped by this morning to buy a Traveler...a box full of coffee to serve 8-12 people. There were three young women working when I walked in and I might as well had asked them to bake me a wedding cake. They ran around, going here and there, looking totally confused. It took 20 minutes for the coffee to be in the box, all the while me having to listen to the three of them talking about how much they hate their jobs. When the coffee was done, it took another 5 minutes for them to find stirrers, count the cups, etc. I thanked them...they ignored me. Slow, bad coffee with poor service. No, thanks.

  • Jared W.

After you've written two or three Starbucks reviews... it gets repetitive. But Yelp I must! Starbucks is Starbucks and I usually start with a solid '3 stars'. This one has happy employees and a nice layout, so an additional star. Slightly above average experience.

    (4)
  • Irene C.

I live nearby so it's a Starbucks I'd go to often and the baristas there are super nice. It does get packed very often that it's hard to find anywhere to sit. My only complaint is that people smoke outside. It's just a place for me to grab a drink and go.

    (4)
  • Kristen C.

I ordered my drink today and the baristas response to my order was "That sounds disgusting!" I didn't even know how to respond to that. I have never had a barista judge my drink order like that before. My drink was good, but the customer service from that barista was bad.

    (2)
  • Jennifer F.

It's hard not to like a Starbucks. Friendly staff, fresh pastries, excellent coffee, little place to sit outside. My only beef is that I wish they had a drive-up - java on the go, that's usually when you need it afterall... to keep "going".

    (4)
  • Hiro K.

Awesome starbucks! - TONS of chairs and outlets, I'm talking about seating for maybe 20 ppl with all having outlet access. Best part about this starbucks. - You can walk to Lucky's or CVS, convenient. - Service is great, quick and friendly. - A/C's a bit cool in the summer, but nothing terrible. Perfect for those coming to Starbucks to do any variation of work/study.

I used to love the happy and friendly staff here and always feeling welcomed when I walk right in. I have to say, my staff comes here and gets my coffee all the time. One day, I decided to go for a change. When I walked in, completely new staff from months ago. I just don't feel the good vibe coming from them. No one looks happy. Looks like they had a bad morning. Wth? Well, all I needed was my coffee anyway. So, I ordered my usual tall nonfat white chocolate mocha. I got my order and drove down the street to my work and when I took a sip of it, it was a mocha drink which I hate the most! The mocha powder gets stuck in the bottom of the cup! This wasn't the first time either. The few next times, I decided to give them another try. They mess up on my order 2 more times! All my staff here feels the same and it wasn't just me. They don't feel the good vibes here anymore and coffee taste nasty like its burnt or something! At this point, we decided to find another location. I think we're pretty much done with this one unless they do something to change it!

    (1)
  • Candice G.

This is usually my goto Starbucks to work or chill since it's close to home and it's one of the least crowded at the times I go. I wouldn't say that I'm a regular since I don't have a "the usual" to order...yet. It's good to know that the employees work well together since it seems like they usually have lively conversations amongst each other behind the counter. Usually for a corporate business like Starbucks, robotic, monotonous interactions would be what I'd expect from the employees, but these guys aren't that type.

    (3)
  • Ryan A.

Everyone here is really friendly. The service could be faster, but, then again, every Starbucks speed of service level has dropped considerably. I don't blame the partners, I blame HQ. Anyhow.... employees are very personable, inviting and make you want to come back. It's also quite clean unlike other stores in the area. Bottom line, they're the best store in the area. If you're looking for a local store, this is it. Stop in.

I love Starbucks and this is one of my favorit spots. I come him every morning that I have time, on my way to work, and I enjoy a good cup of coffee. The service is good, and the baristas are nice. I always find parking fairly easily, and the place is kept clean.

Great neighborhood starbucks!! It is always busy but staff is always friendly and nice. I'm willing to stand in line for my coffee fix!! My favorite is nonfat lattes couldn't live without them I don't think!

  • Sandy B.

In the mornings, this is quite a busy, bustling little Starbucks. They are always very friendly, but they tend to make your drinks lukewarm, which is really disgusting. Tip: Try ordering your drink extra hot (unless you are lucky or like it lukewarm). It will be as hot as it normally should be.

  • Ling H.

I don't understand the bad service reviews because I've been here numerous times and they've always been friendly and quick about their service. The past two visits were on a Saturday morning at 10AM with about 8 people in front of me and the last time was on a Tuesday morning at like 7:45AM. I got my drink order super quick and have no complaints. Their morning staff here is pretty awesome. I hope it doesn't change!

Of course Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks, but this Starbucks stands out because of the awesome baristas. They are friendly yet quick to get your drinks out to you. I've never had them mess a drink up of mine or anyone I've been with. Should out to y'all!!

This is by far the best starbucks in a 5 mile radius, and I've been to all of them. Trust me. My nickname is Chai for a reason, people. I had 3 different Starbucks ornaments on my tree this year. I am also hard to impress. This one is consistently super friendly, accurate, well stocked, clean and parking is a breeze. If only the smokers would sit farther from the door, I'd be in heaven.

I normally only give 5 stars to really good steak houses This place doesn't sell steaks, but it definitely deserve my kudos plus 5 (The dude) Cory is super friendly and very talkative about everything, (The gal) Christina always makes something good based on my calculated risk factors, awesome awesome personality and sweet characteristics of my taste butts. Additional kudos for remembering my name without me mentioning it once, well Christina is a smart cookie to peek at my credit card. Fast good drinks, friendly service. What else?

The best Starbucks around! I've been coming here for at least 5 years, the staff is friendly, makes great drinks and also makes it a point to get to know their customers. Any issue is always handled with the utmost care, and they try to make

This is for their service. At the counter, my husband purchases a venti brewed coffee and a breakfast sandwich. The cashier spilled the hot coffee all over my husband WITHOUT OFFERING ANY APOLOGY AND WITHOUT CHECKING TO SEE ABOUT HIS WELL BEING. How about common courtesy and customer service. If you create a problem, FIX IT. Don't just stand there looking as if nothing happened. I think Pete's is starting to look really good right now.

I came here to study last night with my classmates. I like how this Starbucks was designed. It seems like a nice place to study or do work. I did have an issue last night and I should have talked to the manager about it. I don't understand why I had the worst customer service ever, from a Starbucks location. My friends were treated fine, but not me. When my friend went up to get "free" iced water they gave her a venti iced water with enthusiasm. When I went to go for a "free" iced water, a few minutes later, they gave it to in a tall cup. Then after less than half an hour later, I purchased a refresh/calm tea combo. The barista took my money, made it for me, and just left it there in the counter next to the cash register. He didn't bother handing it to me or at least moving the cup so it was within the vicinity of my arm length. He also did not give me one of those handlers so I wouldn't burn my hand. I just thought this was very unprofessional. He then proceeded to leave and I had to ask him to hand it to me, so he came back to lethargically give it to me. I then noticed that I needed some honey for my tea. I went back to the counter to ask for some packets of honey. I kindly asked another barista by the way. He too was a bit rude to me. "We don't have any honey for you, SIR." Thank goodness there was another barista that was listening and she gave me some honey packets for my tea. I don't understand why those two baristas were extremely rude to me. Was it the fact that I was the only brown person in this Starbucks? Or was it the fact that my friend was female and therefore, she had received better customer service? Also, why did one of the baristas have to LIE about not having any honey? Whether your team of baristas all were having a bad day, or they are racist, or they are sexist [which I highly doubt], this service was totally unacceptable. Whatever your excuses are for this service, it doesn't matter. Fix this customer service issue please. I was extremely offended by the way I was treated in this Starbucks location. Just to note: I did purchase a drink. My friend did not. She experienced such a better service, than I did.

Love This Starbucks! I have been a frequent visitor to this location for the last 1.5 years. I am afraid to know how much I have spent at this location. This location, on the corner of Saratoga and San Tomas, is nicely located and easy to stop in while on my way into work on the Expressway. I give this location 5 stars for the following reasons. Great Staff. The staff is consistent, friendly and always in a good mood. If you are a frequent Starbucks customer, you will know that different locations can make your drink differently by different individuals. I like this location, because no matter who makes my Mocha, it is always made to my satisfaction and tastes great every time. Fast preparation. The employees here are fast and efficient even though the line is often all the way to the door when I come in. Always a great drink! I have been to many different Starbucks in this area and rarely find a location that gets my order as consistent and made to order as much as this Santa Clara location does.

With a Starbucks within almost any square mile of global sprawl, I'm really surprised this one slipped under the Yelper's radar. Its been around maybe longer than I've been yelping (which isn't that long). This Starbucks is at the southern tip of a neighborhood strip mall next to a Pasta & Pizza joint. The mall sits on a triangular lot flanked by Saratoga Ave., Pruneridge with San Tomas being the main corridor feeding the hordes of techies to their tech jobs in SV. The next Starbucks is about a mile away inside a Safeway on Homestead/Kiely and another about one point six miles away on El Camino Real/San Tomas respectively. Closest tech company is about three miles down San Tomas. The strip has a Longs Drugs, a Lucky along with a Carl's Jr., Citibank and a 76 (which I understand, do not buy gas made from UAE crude). Hoshi Japanese restaurant is on the opposite end. The location is largely residential, slower moving and away from the hustle and bustle. The clientele are mostly folks who are either on the way to work or unwinding after work. It's a weekday hangout for soccer moms, retirees, students and people wanting some peace. On the weekends, it's a regular stop for bikers, joggers and golfers (Pruneridge GC is about two hundred yards away). The entrance is flanked by four tables with chairs for outdoor sitting, but have been used mainly for smoking. (TIP: Hold your breadth getting in or out if smoke bothers you). Inside, there are a few plush comfortable cushioned chairs where one can sink into and read a book under the pendant lights or doze off. The baristas and cashiers are pumped and energized. Greetings come across sincere and genuine. They actually look at you when they ask "Would you care for some DELICIOUS pastry today ??" One morning there were 12 customers in line, and within a minute all were efficiently processed with their orders taken, money paid and java in hand. I must admit though, my chai latte was a little less foamy that morning. This location has room and potential for a drive-through window.

Do yourself a favor. Get off San Tomas, head down Saratoga towards Stevens Creek. Pull into the strip mall with the McDonalds and go to Coffee Factory instead. Much better service, much quicker service, much better coffee and much better delicious pastries (no more stale bagels!). In and out of that place in, like, 4 minutes...as opposed to the 10-15 minute wait you get at this place. Two stars for the fact that the employees are nice, but man, those baristas are SLOW, and they always burn my soy milk (I've said it before and I'll say it again, you can't heat it above 120 degrees!). Now, all I gotta do is stop getting Starbucks giftcards as presents and I'll be set.

Pretty typical Starbucks, cozy and inviting, like the staple comfort cafe, the staff here is really friendly which adds to the warm vibe you get when coming here, food and coffee wise, its standard Starbucks fair

Everyone was friendly and it was fast service. Nothing negative to write about this location but nothing that sets it apart of the other Starbucks.

I live close by this Starbucks, and it's on my way to work so I usually pull over in the mornings and get me self a cup. Very friendly (and fast) baristas and good atmosphere, that's all I need from a Starbucks! Four stars and not five only because it's so damn hard to find an empty chair in the evenings, it's always crammed!

in general, i think starbucks is a big ripoff but its nice for people to lounge around. they gotta pay the bills somehow i guess. the stuff takes good and used to be utlra fatty but i was surprised how corporate has revamped the whole menu to give people choices using lower fat ingredients. so overall i guess a 3 or 4. suppose a 3 considering prices. since the cnn talk about food safety ive been looking up all the restaurants ive been to via the santa clara county department of environmental health facility inspection database. this starbucks on saratoga near pruneridge has only 3 minor violations over the past 2 years and 2 of those violations were about cleaning surfaces that arent related to food at all. relatively speaking, thats a decent track record. i kind of expect more from the big chain names but that list is pretty tame so leaving them at 3 stars without adding or subtracting any stars. sccinspections.org/onlin…

Alright so the Cashier was great, he was really friendly and was eager to take my drink order.... however the lady who was making my drink was rude and made my drink completely wrong... and then gave me attitudes when i asked her to remake it.... I wish that the Employs of Starbucks wore name tags or i would tell this chick, how unconverted she made me feel. so if u see a tall women with short curly red hair.. please beware....

My favorite Starbucks location! All the employees are very friendly, and they never have messed up on my drinks. I will drive about 15 minutes from my house just to go to this Starbucks because they have the best service around!

The dude remembered my name- kudos. I'm already starting to feel like a spoiled regular! We will have to wait and see... in my quest to find a starbucks routine. OH another boost in star power: there was this guy in a really cool scooby doo van, colored green, kinda lookin' like the van was advertising for starbucks. he was chillin with his FOLD OUT table (attached to his car.) The guy was smoking a cig, enjoying his coffee in his "on the wheels house." I wish every morning was that way for me....... sighs.

This is by far the most friendly place in town to get your morning cup of joe! They greet almost everyone by name and always a big smile! They do a great job on my drink and service with a smile makes it all the nicer. I try to avoid Starbucks because of the cost, but this makes the extra $$ worth it!

all starbucks are not the same. i am a new transplant and this has been the most consistently friendly, on-the-ball starbucks i've ever been to.

This location is in a large shopping center. It is less cozy to hang out in than a typical Starbucks. Vegan Report: I don't drink coffee. Starbucks is my favorite coffee house chain for getting a hot chocolate with soy milk (no whipped cream).

LOVE this Starbucks. The staff are super friendly. The only downside: it's a popular Starbucks (especially in the morning!)
